Elk Island National Park - Part 2

After our walk around the lake we finally came to the other side and eye to eye with a herd of buffalo.  We knew there was a chance to see them but after 2 hours of no wildlife we figured we were out of luck. They were generally uninterested in us. Some would stare as they chewed away and we kept a safe distance.

  1. Oh my goodness, this is seriously amazing!! We often see a lot of wildlife in our neighbourhood too... coyotes, deer, bears and sometimes there's the odd cougar walking around. Not as cool! ;) And thank you for the tips on introducing Sunshine and Scout. We've definitley started separating them at times... she's definitley the hesitant one, but Scout gets a little snippy from time to time too. Oh pet life, right?! ;) xoxo

  2. Wow, these photos are amazing! I absolutely love buffalo! I often joke that they are my spirit animal haha. I would love to stumble across a herd in the wild like you did someday!
